Wanzhi Steel delivered 301 tons of PPGL coils to Algeria

Recently, 301 tons of high-end color-coated galvalume steel coils produced by Wanzhi Steel arrived safely at the Port of Oran, Algeria, the Pearl of North Africa, and completed customs clearance. The following is a record of the cooperation process.

Client Background

The client is a large-scale building materials distributor in Oran, Algeria. They primarily deal in raw materials for roofing and wall panels. Although located in an African city, the rapid development of Algeria’s infrastructure industry has led to a growing market share for durable, aesthetically pleasing, and cost-effective building materials. Project Production Process

Upon receiving the order, the Wanzhi Steel production team immediately initiated the customized production process:

Substrate Preparation

We selected high-quality SGH340 AZ50 galvalume steel, which offers far superior corrosion resistance to standard galvanized steel and is well-suited to Oran’s Mediterranean climate.

Precision Cleaning

The substrate undergoes rigorous degreasing and chemical treatment to ensure an absolutely clean surface, preparing it for coating adhesion.

Coating and Curing

On a fully automated, high-speed color-coating line, the panels are coated with a PVDF fluorocarbon coating on the front and a high-durability HDP polyester coating on the back, followed by a high-temperature curing bake.

Note: PVDF coating is renowned for its excellent resistance to UV rays, chalking, and corrosion, ensuring long-term color retention and extending the life of the building.

Quality Inspection

Quality is our uncompromising core. After production and completion, our quality inspection team conducts multiple inspections:

Film thickness inspection

A coating thickness gauge is used to ensure uniform coating thickness on both the upper and lower surfaces and that it meets standards.

Color difference inspection

Under a standard light source, the product is compared to a RAL color chart to ensure zero color deviation.

Performance testing

Our laboratory conducts T-bend tests, pencil hardness tests, and salt spray resistance tests on samples to ensure they meet standards for mechanical properties and durability.

Final inspection

Each coil is visually inspected to ensure a smooth, flawless surface, free of scratches, missing coating, and other defects.

Professional packaging

(1) To ensure the goods remain intact during long ocean shipments, we use high-strength protective packaging that meets export standards.

(2) Each steel coil is tightly wrapped with moisture-proof paper and a plastic inner film to effectively prevent moisture and rust.

(3) The outer layer is then strapped with high-strength steel strapping and protected with corner guards to prevent the coil edges from deformation during transport.

(4) A clear, waterproof shipping mark is affixed to each package, indicating the contract number, specifications, dimensions, gross weight, net weight, and lifting direction, making it easy for customers to identify and handle the package.

Efficient delivery

(1) All goods were produced within the agreed delivery period.

(2) We collaborated with a professional freight forwarder to efficiently complete the booking, inland transportation, and customs clearance processes.

(3) The goods were loaded on board on time and sailed to the destination port of Aolan. We also promptly provided the customer with a full set of bills of lading (B/Ls) and customs clearance documents (CoO, Packing List, Invoice, etc.).
